1890s WOMEN'S ENSEMBLE
This 1890s women's ensemble includes a white pleated cotton blouse along with a mutton sleeve jacket and a pleated skirt both made from a thin taffeta. The jacket is faced with a black satin, which is also featured in the belt.
The ensemble is finished with a black crocheted trim and a cameo brooch.
The model has scoliosis so fitting the jacket and the blouse in the shoulders proved an interesting challenge. The solution that was most successful was to pattern both the left and right sides of the jacket and the blouse separately, in order to make each side fit the model's shoulder's properly.
Modeled by Rachel Perzynski.
